Giving
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.'

2 Cor. 9:6-8
We are a community who believes that everything that we have and own is given to us by God. Offering and Tithe are our trust and faith response, to our giver and provider. We don't necessarily 'give' because that would assume that it was ours to begin with but we simply 'return' to the rightful owner. Your contributions will help us with our mission of unleashing God-given potential. We encourage you to make giving a consistent part of your financial plan so you can support the church financially.
What is the difference between tithe and offering?
To put simply, Tithe is used for the global mission of the Adventist Church whereas Offering is used for the local mission of Avenue Church.

How will the money be used?
Our finance team and board determine where the money will be distributed for projects. Weekly operations, outreach projects, hospitality, and communications are some of the areas where we use our finance.
Is giving compulsory?
Giving should not be forced but rather come out of a generous heart and therefore we are not obliged to give.

How much do you recommend we give?
The Biblical principle is to return 10% of your income as Tithe.
